SEEDArts is a program of SouthEast Effective Development and is the driving force behind the the creation of SE Seattle's two main arts/cultural facilities: the Rainier Valley Cultural Center (RVCC), our region's first performing arts center; and the Columbia City Gallery (CCG), a collective featuring the work of 30 local visual artists. SEEDArts also established the only major non-municipally funded public art program in Seattle. Our high-quality, accessible arts/cultural programs include: 1) performing arts and multicultural programs at RVCC, as well as cultural/arts education classes and camps for children and youth, some held off-site in conjunction with local schools and housing facilities; 2) visual arts exhibitions and related programs at CCG and 3) our Public Art Program, which has directed over $750,000 of resources (resulting in the creation of over 40 artworks) into streets, parks and open spaces of SE Seattle.

Anthony Austin

Southeast Youth & Family Services (SEYFS) is a non-profit social service agency.  Southeast Youth and Family Services mission is to assist children, youth and families in King County in achieving safe, stable and sustainable lives.  We achieve our mission by providing counseling, educational, social and life skills programs for children, youth and their families.  Located in southeast Seattle, we serve people from all racial and ethnic backgrounds and various income levels, the majority of families being low-income, people of color.

SEYFS programs are funded through support from the government, United Way of King County, foundations, corporations and individuals. The agency continues to seek additional financial support from the community in order to sustain our programs and services.

Welcome to SEYFS.  This is a great agency, a great place to work and to receive services. The staff is skilled, committed and caring. What I like most about the work being done here is that I can see the changes being made in the children and families being served. I live in southeast Seattle. This is my community, and I want to live in the best and strongest community I can. That’s why the work we do is so important to me. I hope our work is important to you as well.

We do not have a store or restaurant, but we are based in Columbia City. Each sales day, we bake our biscuits fresh. The biscuits are made fresh from local ingredients, the primary ingredient being Washington’s Shepherd’s Grain flour. This is the same premium quality, sustainably grown flour used in some of the best local bakeries. We add local dairy products to make a delicious piece of bread that is slightly crunchy on the outside, but light on the inside. A local baker described them as “fluffy clouds of goodness.” Taking it to the next level, we then add other ingredients such as Theo Chocolate, Beecher’s Cheese, Bavarian Meat’s Bacon, and local fruit for uniquely flavored biscuits. You can find our biscuits at local farmers markets, Lottie's Lounge and other cafes, and online.

Emerald City Green Painting LLC is a full service commercial and residential painting company and general contractor serving the greater Seattle area. We specialize in environmentally friendly and sustainable painting practices, and products. We are passionate about painting. Its what we do, and we do it well. After working in the trades for many years and witnessing the careless use of toxic products. We founded Emerald City Green Painting to offer an alternative. We are continuously looking for new products and new ways to provide cleaner less toxic alternatives that out perform more conventional building materials. It is our passion. Why have a home or office full of carcinogens when you don't have to? Being 'green" doesn't just mean less toxic, it means using less resources. In other words "green" means quality workmanship that is built to last. This is what we do. But better products and quality workmanship are only part of our vision. For every gallon of paint we use, we plant a tree in a local park. Working with the King County Parks Department we donated 1000 western red cedars for 2013. We also help to plant them at Soaring Eagle Park in Samamish WA. Non of the costs of donations are passed on to our clients. But just to give you an idea, if we did, it would raise the cost of say... painting a bedroom by $3.00. A small price to pay for doing the right thing. If your home was built before 1978 it may have lead paint. We are an EPA Certified Lead Safe company and can perform tests to determine if indeed your home or office contains lead. If it does we have the training and expertise to deal with it safely. We have all the EPA certified HEPA vac's and sanders required to do any job without exposing anyone to toxic lead dust. Whether you are painting a child's room, office or your entire home , we have the expertise and experience to help you choose the best products to suit your needs and budget. Call us to schedule a free estimate.

I'm a Seattle native with 15 successful years in real estate. I love my job and the diversity of experiences that come with it against the backdrop of a city I love. My philosophy: buying or selling a home is a major life decision, whether you are a first-time home buyer or seller, an empty-nester ready for something new, or somewhere in between. It's more than just an important financial decision. It's where you'll live, where you have lived, the place you call home; it's personal. Understanding clients’ financial goals, together with the personal aspects of the real estate transaction, is essential to building successful working relationships with my clients. I prize integrity, responsiveness, knowledge, education, humor and trust; from our first meeting to the closing of the transaction, and beyond. I represent my long term & new clients around the greater Seattle area yet focuses on Seattle proper and the south end.
