Emergency Hub Open House/Practice Exercise
Come see how your local Emergency Hub works! You're invited to the Lakewood Seward Park Emergency Hub Open House/Practice Exercise, where we will respond to a mock disaster: a massive, extended power outage in Seattle. (You might be surprised to learn how many things would be affected.) Learn how to prepare your own household and immediate neighborhood for emergencies. Prepared communities handle disasters better and bounce back faster afterward.

Columbia City Gallery Opening: Monster Mash Up / Life Cycle Artist Reception
Join Columbia City Gallery at the opening celebration of the Monster Mash Up and Member Exhibit - Life Cycle exhibits. Monster Mash Up showcases imaginative works created by students from John Muir Elementary School and Franklin High School. Kindergarteners from John Muir unleash their creativity as they draw and paint unique creatures. These delightful drawings are then passed on to the advanced ceramics students at Franklin High School, who skillfully reinterpret them as sculpture. The exhibit celebrates the collaboration between these young artists and demonstrates the beauty of translating two-dimensional art into three-dimensional form. Life Cycle features new works by Gallery member artists Kerri Eden, Liz St. Andre, Juliette Ripley Dunkelberger, Shari Kaufman, and Annie Moorehouse. Light snacks and beverages will be provided.
